Band information

Fracture was an incredibly brutal death metal band from Melbourne, unrelentingly ferocious and massively heavy; the band enjoyed virtual legendary status throughout its often tenuous lifespan as being almost without peer in extreme metal circles. Heriot was also drumming for both Blood Duster and Abramelin at various times during the life of this band, and Skitz from Damaged was the vocalist for a short time. For quite a few years only the "Avulsion" demo was available in terms of recorded output, but an EP-length CD did finally appear in 1999. Heriot gave up music later that year and Fracture folded. Stahlmann and Haug went on to form Contrive.
