Band information

Frozen Doberman was an excellent melodic thrash metal band from the New South Wales Central Coast region with origins going back to 1987. The band released a self-financed EP in 1991 and supported Motorhead on the Gold Coast. The following year they opened for Sepultura and played at MetalFest in Sydney. In 1993 the group played one of its best known performances, through a vocal PA in the bar of the Sydney Entertainment Centre at the Metallica concert while Kyuss opened on the main stage inside!

Bonsai was released in 1994 and Frozen Doberman toured nationally, after which Barry was replaced by Jason Garito from Damaged Goods. The "Beautiful Day" EP was recorded in 1995 but not given proper release for almost two years. In the meantime, Frozen Doberman wrote almost a complete album but decided to split up at the end of 1997 before it could be completed.
