Band Information
Lynchmada is a band from the Gold Coast, originally a four piece known as the Lynch Mada Experiment featuring Harris, Blunden, Azlebe and Petzch-Kunze. Their style of early metalcore mixed with nu-metal brought them attention almost immediately and the band was soon a regular feature on the local scene, making an appearance at the Overcranked Festival before issuing a self-financed CD single. In 2004 Connors, Wallace and Downs all joined the line-up and the band supported acts like Sunk Loto and Against and released an EP in February that was produced by ex-Devolved singer Nik Carpenter. It gained them national exposure after a New South Wales tour.
Refining their sound to highlight the metalcore element, the group worked hard throughout the next 18 months establishing itself and playing a range of key support shows. The Other Mexico was released in January 2007 and Lynchmada followed it up by supporting God Forbid in March and Lamb of God in April. The band has been added to the Gold Coast leg of the 2008 Big Day Out.
