Band Information

Mytile Vey Lorth is a band from Canberra originally playing a form of blackened doom with vague hints of early Opeth. With a seven piece line up of Barton, Hoogesteger, Smith and Dowling on bass plus Lily Davis (keyboards), Craig Smith (drums) and Adam Granger (keyboards) the band recorded an album and played at Bloodlust in mid-2002. After this Craig Smith, David and Granger all departed, Chris Dowling moved from bass to drums and Darren Whent joined on bass. Since the line-up change Mytile Vey Lorth has moved into a more traditional black metal direction. In late 2005 after Dowling had been replaced by Atkins, the band announced it had signed a deal with Romanian label Beauty of Pain for an album release in 2006. This deal ultimately fell through however. Dowling rejoined in place of Whent and the album was issued in mid-2007 by Prime Cuts.
