Band information

Paradigm began in the city of Sydney, Australia, 2006, with the merging of inspiring unique musicians... Paradigm are a 5 piece progressive metal act from the underground of Sydney Australia, who have been together for almost 2 years. All have been at some stage, products of the Australian Institute Of Music in Surry Hills, which is ultimately where they all met for the first time. The band members include Thomas Arcadi handling vocal duties, Jimmi Ivanyi on lead guitars, Ryan Wooden on bass guitars, Braithe Selby on lead guitars, and Shannon Agius on Drums and Percussion. Paradigm are popular among fans of metal bands such as Nevermore, Opeth, Dream Theater, Lamb Of God, Fear Factory and Pantera to name a few. As well as rock influence from the likes of the Foo Fighters, Black Label Society Tool, APC and Porcupine Tree. It began when Guitarist Jimmi Ivanyi, thought of putting together a new project, aside from his current band at the time (Dessant), of which he was introduced to and played alongside Tom Arcadi. Jimmi suggested Tom Arcadi, of who he was working with at the time, in his other project. All agreed and Tom was called down to the Paradigm camp, and after the first rehearsal, the rest is history. Alot of great things are happening around us, and its a very exciting time, we do what we do in the face of adversity, and nothing will change our vision. ' - Paradigm. Paradigm continues today to play the Sydney underground scene and interstate touring with growing fans and frequency. Plans are in the making to tackle Europe in 2007, where they plan to bring the true essence of Australian metal with them. With there unique blend of Progressive metal they create a sound that is acoustic, melodic but fast and high is energy all at once, covering and incorporating vast ranges of sound, precision, and genres. " A completely unique take on Prog-Metal. A powerfull act for such a young band. Keep your eyes on these guys. " - BLKUK. With many shows coming up, and an alliance of bands on each side, the future of Paradigm is looking unstoppable. Paradigm promice something new and exciting to the Prog-Metal scene.
