Band Information

Picture the End is a Melbourne band that plays groove-laden and heavy modern metalcore with a slight technical bent. They issued their debut album through Stomp in early 2007. Later that year Rob Allen from The Abandonment filled in for Patzel as the band supported Job For a Cowboy on a national tour and they then also opened for The Black Dahlia Murder and Cephalic Carnage in Melbourne in November, following which was a national tour with The Jonestown Syndicate. Jon Green joined The Red Shore as their touring bassist on a national excursion with I Killed the Prom Queen and left Picture the End to remain with that band permanently shortly afterward.

A second album was being recorded; in September the band supported Testament and Carcass in October. Stu Callinan then left the group in December. Speartackle guitarists Cam Wilson and Drew Hilton joined Picture the End in early 2009.
