Band information
ShadowPlay originally formed in Perth as Modus Vivendi featuring Con Ongarezos also on guitar. That band released an EP before Ongarezos left and Alitia Atkins joined. After this the group moved to England and changed its named to ShadowPlay. An album was written and being recorded when Atkins and Jacob left to return to Perth. Adamson, then Creaby and Craven then joined ShadowPlay but the combinations didn't gel. Eventually Bonney also returned to Australia. Jacob and Atkins subsequently rejoined the band and ShadowPlay completed their album with Chen still based in England. ShadowPlay's music is melodic progressive metal with a Gothic aspect.
