Sons of Mars is a Brisbane band playing traditional old school metal. Formed by Best and Shepherd, they went through several drummers before recruiting Achim Vollman, ex-[[Transfear]].


Sons of Mars are a Brisbane based power trio playing traditional old school metal with plenty of rough edges (more Motorhead than Dream Theater!).
They released a 4-track demo in 2004 entitled ''Hastae Martiae''.
 
Sons Of Mars evolved through a series of jams and fond reminisces by a pair of veteran heavy rock obsessives. Having endured all the usual band related ups and downs, and a succession of drummers that would do Spinal Tap proud, our mission is to make a contribution to Australia's proud heavy rock heritage.
