History

An Australian version of the US Summer Slaughter tour was first announced during 2008 to run from 13 - 17 March 2009. The line-up featured Germany's Necrophagist, Dying Fetus and The Faceless from the US and Belgian band Aborted. The Red Shore were also originally included in the package but withdrew in February. A competition was held in each city to determine the local opener. Winners were Dred, Closed Casket, Gallows for Grace, Signal the Firing Squad and A Million Dead Birds Laughing.
