Van Ryn departed the group in October. CJ McMahon from '''Vegas in Ruins''' joined the band in April 2009 and they then went on a second national tour. For the next year, they focused on the completion of their first full-length release. During studio pre-production they met engineer Mick Low, guitarist for '''Scar This Sky'''. After taking up bass duties full-time, the band then tracked a large portion of the album in Low's home studio. ''The Adversary'' was released in July 2010, followed by a two month national tour. Low departed after this and Delander switched to bass when Marsh joined.
