Band information
Western Decay are a melodic death metal group from Brisbane, with a sound borderlining on melodic metalcore. In their two years of existence the band has performed sporadically in their home state and in New South Wales including tours of North Queensland, appearances at Overcranked, Metalstock and Gordofest throughout 2006 and 2007 and have released a three-way split EP with local lads Infinite Thought Process and Naked Burn. Vocalist Lochlan is a writer for punk/hardcore magazine Death Before Dishonour and a drummer for a few other Brisbane artists, while bassist Sam was previously a member of Apex Null and is currently playing guitar for Brisbane death metallers Defamer. Josh departed the band at the end of 2007. As of 2008, the band is seeking a replacement, whilst continuing to write and prepare for a full-length album.
