Band information
Southeast Desert Metal is a heavy metal band from a remote indigenous community near Alice Springs. The band's first album featured Cedric Ross and Derek Hayes. Despite the band's remoteness, Southeast Desert Metal has appeared at events like the Brewtality Festival in Melbourne and Sydney in 2017 and have been a staple at Blacken Open Air since the festival was established. In 2022, an ABC documentary was filmed about the band.
