Band information

Formed in the inner city of St Kilda by vocalist Julez Mephisto and former Voodoo Lovecats guitarist Leigh Van Hell in October 2002, The Deadthings are a glam metal band with a sound recalling the heyday of the LA glam/hair/sleaze scene. In spite of the over-the-top image, The Deadthings display a genuine feel for their musical style that makes them particularly convincing. In late 2004 Nikk Murder returned to replace Ronni Dapraved on Drums and in October 2005 Trixxi Trash replaced former bass player Roy Reaper.

Halloween 2005 saw The Deadthings release their debut full length album "Who Killed Holly Would" and tour throughout Australia into 2006 in support of the release including an opening spot on the Wednesday 13 Australian Tour.

In late 2006 The Deadthings played a series of shows around Los Angeles, opening for LA Guns and Pretty Boy Floyd among others. In February 2007 The Deadthings supported Stevie Rachelle's Tuff on his Australian tour. The Deadthings' second album "Dead Over Heels" was released in September 2007 through Blastzone Entertainment in the USA and Europe. In January 2008, Nikk Murder left The Deadthings and since then have utilized the drum services of Nick Caligula & Luciano Alvero. In late 2008, The Deadthings hit the road with Lynch Mob and Faster Pussycat for the east-coast leg of their Australian tour. in June 2009 The Deadthings opened for Finland's Goth rockers The 69 Eyes and in November 2009 were reunited once again with Hollywood glamsters Pretty Boy Floyd to open for them on their Australian tour. Following the Pretty Boy Floyd tour, The Deadthings went on hiatus while members Julez "Mephisto" Millis and Trent "Trixxi Trash" Wilson concerntrated on their melodic hard rock band White Widdow,

In 2007 both Dave Scythe and Trixxi Trash performed as touring members of Tuff.

In June 2012 it was announced that vocalist Jules "Mephisto" Millis was the new singer in successful 80's UK glam metal band Tigertailz, but would also continue as vocalist with White Widdow.

In July 2012, The Deadthings reunited to perform a one-off charity event in memory of their late friend Kieran O'Reilly form Goth metal band Catwitch, who passed away in July 2011.
