Band information
Western Decay was a melodic metalcore group from Brisbane. In their years of existence the band performed sporadically in their home state and in New South Wales including tours of North Queensland, appearances at Overcranked, Metalstock and Gordofest throughout 2006 and 2007 and released a three-way split EP with local lads Infinite Thought Process and Naked Burn. Vocalist Lochlan Watt was the editor of punk/hardcore magazine Death Before Dishonour and also a member of several other Brisbane bands including Ironhide and Nuclear Summer, while bassist Sam was previously a member of Apex Null and went on to play guitar for Brisbane death metallers Defamer. Josh departed the band at the end of 2007. The band was seeking a replacement, while continuing to write and prepare for a full-length album but had disbanded by July 2008. Watt became the the host of Triple J's The Racket radio program in 2012.
