Vaticide is a four piece from Sydney playing a style of very heavy metal that draws from classic death and thrash acts but with a modern approach and feel. Forming in 2002, the band began to build a strong live reputation after [[Dungeon]] drummer Stevo Moore joined and began to amass a list of key supports to touring bands. Late in 2004, Vaticide began work on an album and in March 2005 the band supported '''Pungent Stench''', before going on to be one of the main acts at the [[Metalstock]] festival in Easter, organised by Rob on his property in Scone, NSW. Shortly afterwards, in May, Moore resigned from the band, forcing the cessation of Vaticide's live duties that was to include a show with '''Hate Eternal'''.
