Band information
Dyscord was a death metal band from Perth. The band formed in 2003 and were soon supporting like Alchemist and The Mark of Cain and then a string of international acts including Mudvayne, The Haunted, Static X and Ill Nino. Originally playing metalcore, they later changed to a modern melodic death metal sound.
In 2006, Dyscord released a six-track EP and toured nationally with The Black Dahlia Murder. In March 2007 the band toured with God Forbid and featured at the Overcranked Festival in Brisbane. After Johannes Chuah and John Blythman were replaced, a full length album was released in March 2008 after playing at the Big Day Out in Perth. The band toured widely during 2008, touring the east coast with bands like Daysend and opened for Carcass in Perth in October. In January 2009 Dyscord toured with Whitechapel and also played with Killswitch Engage and Unearth through the year. Recording began on their second album after this with Tirades being released on February 19, 2010. Following this release, Dyscord again toured with Daysend and appeared later in the year at the first Bastardfest. The band split up not long afterward.
