Steve Moore from [[Enticer]] moved in as Coffey's replacement in 1990. In 1991 and 1992 Addictive headlined the short-lived Metalfest events. During 1991 the band began work on a second album with producer Bob Daisley but the master tapes went missing and the resultant album did not emerge for another two years. ''Kick 'Em Hard'' showed a further progression and maturity of their sound without straying far from the original Addictive style, but the delays with the release of the album and subsequent lack of support by the label when it appeared caused the band to lose some of the impetus they had gained with the debut.
