Band information

Formed in the inner city of St Kilda by vocalist Julez Mephisto and former Voodoo Lovecats guitarist Leigh Van Hell in October 2002, The Deadthings are a glam metal band with a sound recalling the heyday of the LA glam/hair/sleaze scene. In spite of the over-the-top image, The Deadthings display a genuine feel for their musical style that makes them particularly convincing. In late 2004 Nikk Murder returned to replace Ronni Dapraved on Drums and in October 2005 Trixxi Trash replaced former bass player Roy Reaper.

Halloween 2005 saw The Deadthings release their debut full length album "Who Killed Holly Would" and tour throughout Australia into 2006 in support of the release including an opening spot on the Wednesday 13 Australian Tour.

In late 2006 The Deadthings played a series of shows around Los Angeles, opening for LA Guns and Pretty Boy Floyd among others. In February 2007 The Deadthings supported Stevie Rachelle's TUFF on his Australian tour. The Deadthings' second album "Dead Over Heels" was released in September 2007 through Blastzone Entertainment in the USA and Europe. In January 2008, Nikk Murder left The Deadthings and has since been replaced by Nick Caligula. In late 2008, The Deadthings hit the road with Lynch Mob and Faster Pussycat for the east-coast leg of their Australian tour.
