Band information
Niflheim was a Sydney duo playing raw and thrashing black metal in the classic style of early Mayhem or Venom. One of the few black metal outfits to feature a woman as its principal member, with Skadi doing all instrumentation and vocals except drums, as well as writing the bulk of the songs and doing the artwork. A thoroughly raw and rough demo was followed up by an exhausting full length CD, along with two cult videos the band made themselves. Erik from Crucible of Agony and Gorgoroth from Baltak played bass with the band for their occasional live performances. The band is no more as Skadi announced she would continue to perform under her own name only, although nothing has come of it.
