Antonamasia was a Sydney band that formed in mid-2002. The band's style blended '''Shadows Fall'''-style metalcore with commercial Goth metal like '''Evanescence'''. While live work proved difficult at first due to Dallas' age, by late 2005 the band had become fairly well established and was picked up by Melbourne's Faultline Records, producing an EP that was released in mid-2006 and appearing at [[Metal for the Brain]] the same year.

In November 2008 it was announced that Dallas and Barrington had left the band; Carter departed in January 2009. Jaymes Farr later joined on bass. The band continued to seek membership for a while before disappearing until 2013 when the band re-emerged with a new line-up. Some singles were recorded and Antonamasia began playing regularly in the Sydney area again but Clik Rogan left in late 2014 and they have again fallen silent.
