Alpha Centauri was a power/traditional metal band formed in Adelaide in 1997 by the Kokiousis brothers of [[Agatus]] and [[Zemial]]. George Dinedios also joined the group and the band began work on a series of EPs and an album. Stathatos came to Adelaide from Greece from 1999 and completed the line-up; further recording work continued but the group split up in mid-2000 before anything was released. Three tracks were finally completed prior to Dimitrius Kokiousis moving to Germany in 2006 and Alpha Centauri is currently seeking their release.
