Detravine (pronounced Detra Veen) formed in early 2005 when a mutual friend introduced Ross and Phil to each other. The two started jamming on songs recorded earlier by Ross' previous band and assorted covers. The natural progression lead to the inclusion of the bassist of Ross' former band, Hickey. After a few jam sessions the trio started seeking out a drummer and vocalist. Jade and former drummer Ben were recruited shortly afterwards, which lead to the begginings of Detravine. Enrolment in Uni meant that Ben would no longer be able to fill the drum stool, which eventually landed Yinny in the spot. Yinny had to depart the band to pursue other things, and that left the drum stool vacant again, but it was quickly sat on by Tommy T. Before much longer, the band decided that the best direction for them to take would see Yinny once again join the band ... this time behind the mic. This makes up the Detravine we all see today. | |||
