Band information
Old school thrashing death metal band from the Blue Mountains west of Sydney, formed by Nigel Chad. Grenade's first ever gig was in Adelaide mid-1999. The band played live sporadically and released a 7" EP in mid-2003. Neil and Beau Dyer were also members of Stone Wings and Ben Askew was formerly with Dark Dominion. Grenade supported Mystic Circle in 2003.
The band has been sporadically active since, including playing shows with Nunslaughter before announcing a split in late 2006. Shortly after, details emerged that Chad would continue with the band at some point. A compilation album appeared in mid-2007. Grenade was re-activated in 2012.
