Agatus performs haunting and atmospheric, raw black metal with medieval overtones. They were in fact performing this style even before the like of '''Satyricon'''. A demo was released in 1993 before the 1994 full length album ''Dawn of Martyrdom'' was released on Hypervorea Records and later bootlegged by No Colours. Over the years they played a minimal amount of shows in Melbourne and Adelaide but maintained a cult status in the underground scene worldwide.
