Band information
Mindsnare is a Melbourne band that has been playing since 1993. While they are most usually considered one of Australia's leading hardcore bands, stylistically their music is something like a cross between Slayer and Minor Threat and therefore closer to thrash metal than a lot of other "crossover" bands like Parkway Drive and even moreso than a lot of metalcore bands. Recordings have been rare as true to their ethic Mindsnare's priority has always been on live shows but everything they have released is excellent. Ever since The Death brought them national attention Mindsnare has won a growing fanbase amongst metal audiences and they played at Metal for the Brain in 2004 and 2006. Beltsy has also been a member of Blood Duster since 2003 and Forman is also with Frenzal Rhomb.
