Band information
Formed in Melbourne by former Voodoo Lovecats guitarist Leigh Van Hell, The Deadthings is a glam metal band with a sound recalling the heyday of the LA glam/hair/sleaze scene. In spite of the over-the-top image, The Deadthings display a genuine feel for their musical style that makes them particularly convincing. Trixxi Trash replaced former bass player Ric Reaper in October 2005.
In late 2006 The Deadthings played a series of shows in LA, opening for LA Guns and Tuff, among others. In February of 2007, the band was hired to play as Tuff singer Steve Rachelle's backing band on his Australian tour. The band's second album will be released in September 2007.
