Leicohtica is a band from Wagga Wagga playing symphonic black metal, taking obvious inspiration from bands such as '''Dimmu Borgir'''. The band's 2004 debut EP "In Torment's Garden" showed a band still in the developmental stage, somewhat underproduced and musically disjointed. Mottley replaced former guitarist Waldron prior to the first CD's release and the album from early 2007 was a remarkable improvement. | Leicohtica is a band from Wagga Wagga playing symphonic black metal, taking obvious inspiration from bands such as '''Dimmu Borgir'''. Band Information
Leicohtica is a band from Wagga Wagga playing symphonic black metal, taking obvious inspiration from bands such as Dimmu Borgir. The band's 2004 debut EP "In Torment's Garden" showed a band still in the developmental stage, somewhat underproduced and musically disjointed. Mottley replaced former guitarist Waldron prior to the first CD's release and the album from early 2007 was a remarkable improvement.
The band undertook a large-scale tour during early 2008 and in early 2009 opened for Whitechapel and played a show with The Berzerker and The Amenta. Since then, the band has further developed its symphonic style with the departure of female vocalist Mcaffrie and Orchard and Bromley both now playing violin.
