Band information

Black Reign was originally formed by Michael Demov in Wollongong in 1993. The band recorded a live EP and went thorough a string of line-up changes before drifting apart by 1998. In 2001, Dimov laid down some tracks for the first release with drumming by Borc Todorovski. A full line-up was put together for shows shortly afterward. This line-up featured bass player Jose-Manuel Azevedo and drummer Warren Bunting. Bunting was then replaced by Tim Yatras. Black Reign split up sometime after the second release but by late 2003 Dimov had reformed the band once again with Lord Stephen plus bassist Dirty Dave and Skar Velis on guitar. By mid-2004, Azevedo was back in the band and Blaze Buccanan was on guitar; however by late the next year Black Reign was seeking a new guitarist and drummer. In the meantime an album was completed with contributions from various past and present members and finally released in late 2008. After this the band ended and most of the members formed Metreya.
