Band Information
Lynchmada is a band from the Gold Coast, originally a four piece known as the Lynch Mada Xperiment featuring Harris, Blunden, Azlebe and Petzch-Kunze. Their style of early metalcore mixed with nu-metal brought them attention almost immediately and the band was soon a regular feature on the local scene, making an appearance at the Overcranked Festival before issuing a self-financed CD single. In 2004 Connors, Wallace and Downs all joined the line-up and the band supported acts like Sunk Loto and Against and released an EP in February that was produced by ex-Devolved singer Nik Carpenter. It gained them national exposure after a New South Wales tour.
Refining their sound to highlight the metalcore element, the group worked hard throughout the next 18 months establishing itself and playing a range of key support shows. The Other Mexico was produced by Lachlan Mitchell (Nazxul) and released in January 2007. Lynchmada followed it up by supporting God Forbid in March and Lamb of God in April. The band played at the Gold Coast leg of the 2008 Big Day Out. Haines from Hollow joined in 2008. Daniel Trickett joined on drums in time for their appearance with Death Angel and Armored Saint in March 2009 and hooked up with Adelaide label Truth Inc. In late 2011 the album To the Earth, again produced by Carpenter and mixed by Zeuss, appeared and after a short national tour it was announced that they would be supporting Cavalera Conspiracy in early 2012. Kent Haines announced he was leaving the band shortly after that tour.
