Band Information
Summonus is a Sydney sludge metal band with similarities to Eyehategod and Iron Monkey. Their membership is drawn from various Sydney metal and hardcore bands like Persecution and in early 2009 the band released a 5-track EP mixed by Jason PC of Blood Duster. Work began on an album the following year and in early 2011 Summonus played shows with Monarch and Unearthly Twin. The band's full length appeared in the second half of 2011. After some shows in March 2012, Keith Livingstone left the band. Mal Lloyd joined in his place and Summonus supported High on Fire in September 2012. During the next year Summonus appeared at Doomfest with Church of Misery and opened for Sleep in Sydney.
