Band information

Vaticide was a Sydney death metal band. After a year or so, Dungeon drummer Steve Moore joined the line-up and in 2004 Vaticide began work on an album and in March 2005 supported Pungent Stench, before going on to be one of the main acts at the Metalstock festival in Easter, organised by vocalist Rob on his property in Scone, NSW. Shortly afterwards, in May, Moore resigned from the band, forcing thm to cancel a support with Hate Eternal.

In early 2006 Mortal Sin drummer Luke Cook joined the band. Vaticide worked the local live scene solidly throughout 2006, although it was a busy time for several of the members as Symon Alhaddad and Cook were also briefly with Killrazer as well as other bands including Switchblade. In early 2007 Vaticide opened for Suffocation, appeared at Metalstock and played with Mortal Sin, however by mid-year the band had once again announced that it was going on hiatus. Alhaddad continued with Switchblade for a year or so and Lardner-Brown joined Killrazer in 2007.

An album, recorded while Moore was still in the band, was never released.
