Extreme metal chaos from Brisbane, Defiled was originally a black metal band in the classic Norwegian style, somewhat ham-fisted but apparently improved considerably over the course of time, taking a turn towards a more powerful and impressive death metal assault. Defiled split up after the Overcranked festival in June 2002 but then briefly reformed.
