Band information

Embodiment 12:14 was a Christian metalcore band from Adelaide. The group had its beginnings in the early 90s as a death metal band called Embodiment. The line-up at that time included Reid and Harslett, along with Reid's brother Ben (guitar), Kane Jones (bass) and Luke Martin (guitar). Some time later Martin was replaced by Michael Wright. Both these line-ups contributed several tracks to two of the Rowe label's Christian metal compilations.

An apparent re-direction of the band's musical style then occurred and with a distinct metalcore approach, relaunched themselves as Embodiment 12:14 with an EP and with Lawrence replacing Ben Reid and Greg Smith from Ethereal Scourge taking over from Jones.

In 1998 Embodiment 12:14 supported Fear Factory (they did so again in 2001) and then established a hard-won reputation in the metalcore scene. Ben Reid temporarily replaced Lawrence for a few shows in early 2001. He left the band permanently in mid-2003 after two shows supporting Soilwork. Kyle from the similarly-aligned Blind Defeat took his place in the band in time for their appearance at Metal for the Brain; days later Embodiment 12:14 announced that Wright had left the fold. The band is no more.
