Band information

Altars is an Adelaide band that has existed in some form since 2005. The line-up solidified with the addition of Dewar from Sarsekim in 2007. The band's style is an experimental form of death metal and ambience; a demo was released in 2008 and the band supported Dismember in Adelaide. Altars opened for Cannibal Corpse in September 2009. Around the same time a split release with Tzun Tzu appeared.
