Taking its name from a character in the Douglas Adams book <i>Life, the Universe and Everything</i>, Brisbane band Arcane plays a form of highly melodic and complex progressive metal in the vein of more experimental and avant garde prog bands like '''Porcupine Tree''' and '''Pain of Salvation'''. During 2009 the band opened for '''Queensrÿche''' and released their second album.
