Band information

Empyrean is Brisbane band that plays a stylish and modern symphonic death metal. Along with releasing their debut EP, the band supported Dark Tranquillity and Insision in 2006 and opened for Vader in 2007. During early 2008 the band began recording a full-length album with ex-Sakkuth member Adam Merker producing. Quietus was released in December 2008 and the band then toured widely throughout Australia. They appeared at the Against the Grain festival in September 2009 and began working on a second album. In April 2010, Empyrean announced a hiatus and vocalist James Hill joined Aeternitas and Acacia.
