Band information

Hell City Glamours is a Sydney sleaze rock/metal act with a style similar to Ratt crossed with Rolling Stones. The band toured with Brides of Destruction not long after coming together and then built a solid reputation built on impressive live shows. Archie Fires joined Doomfoxx in 2004 and left Hell City Glamours in April 2005.

Hell City Glamours then recruited Jono Barwick from the grind band Degeneracy for a national tour with Sëbasröckets and an Alice Cooper support in July. The second EP received good airplay on JJJ and supports to Rose Tattoo and Living Colour followed in 2006. Hell City Glamours also played the Come Together Festival in Sydney and appeared in a TV commercial for LG that year before recording another single. In late 2006 they toured with Airbourne and played shows with Paul Stanley in April 2007 and LA Guns in October. Hell City Glamours opened for Hardcore Superstar, McQueen, Supersuckers and Sebastian Bach in the first half of 2008 after completing a full length album in January. The album surfaced in July and the band spent the last three months of the year touring nationally with The Angels. During March 2009 Hell City Glamours played several showcase gigs in the US including one with New York Dolls and the Aussie BBQ in New York with Youth Group and The Grates. That year they signed to Powerage Records for UK/European release. During 2010 they released the single "One Night Only" and concentrated on writing a new album. After some rare appearances over the next few years, the band announced they would be breaking up in 2014 after the album's release and a national tour.
