Knightmare is a Melbourne power metal band with its origin in 2005 around Mick O'War and Luke Besley. The band's line-up was completed in early 2007 with the addition of bassist Blake Ford; Knightmare has an EP completed that has not yet been released.
Knightmare was a Melbourne power metal band with its origin in 2005 around Mick Simpson and Luke Besley. The band's line-up was completed in early 2007 with the addition of bassist Blake Ford. Knightmare released the EP ''Unholy'' in February 2008. Three members left soon after, with Rick Linguroski and Dean Gaudoin (ex-[[Titanium]], [[Luthor]]) joining the band. By 2012 when ''In Death's Shadow'' was released, the line-up was Simpson, Besley, Matt McConaghy and Jim Munro, with Dave Allen joining as Knightmare's drummer sometime around 2014.
 
In 2018 Knightmare took on a more progressive direction and became known as [[Great Leap Skyward]].
