Band information
A Night in Texas is a deathcore band, formed in Cairns in 2010. Following a demo late that year, the band recorded an EP that was released in 2013, after which A Night in Texas moved to Brisbane and Carlos Hicks was replaced by Rheese Peters.
The God Delusion was released during 2015. In 2016 the band toured Europe with Aversions Crown and Rings of Saturn. Ethan Lucas replaced Peters soon after. This line-up produced the second album Global Slaughter in 2017, which was followed by an Asian tour with Whitechapel. Anthony Barone replaced Rick Fieldhouse in September, but he left the band to join Shadow of Intent in October 2018 and A Night in Texas went on hiatus.
The band returned with a double album in June 2021 featuring new drummer Zak Borg. The following year they signed to Unique Leader but Lucas, Angus Gasson and Luke Adkins all departed in 2023. Sam Cameron, Tommy Williams and David Findlay replaced them for the next album, released in May of 2024.
