Band information

Musically influenced by Mortification, Deliverence and Paramaecium, Grave Forsaken is an evangelistic Christian thrash metal band, with death and doom influences, from Perth.

The 2005 EP release is the previous year’s demo with an extra track. 2006 saw the band's debut album, Besides the River of Blood, released at the Black Stump festival in NSW. In 2007, they released a doom influenced single, Horror and Sadness, which contained several bonus tracks. They were working with a new producer, Dan Holmes (Templar, Scourged Flesh), and the quality of the recordings greatly improved with his help. In early 2008, Destined For Ascension was unleashed, further solidifying Grave Forsaken's old-school thrash sound. Drummer Kilgallon joined Mortification in 2008 but remained only a short time. Grave Forsaken has been a productive band, with their output now totalling four studio albums and the live set Light the Hall.
