Band information
Taking their name from the Stephen King novel The Stand, Captain Trips was a Melbourne based speed metal band which formed from the ashes of a previous group called Tahkisis.
Captain Trips' music is likened to Forbidden and Testament with a progressive slant that gave them an original edge. The band re-united in 2008 but nothing came of it; Blue Freya eventually released the band’s album in 2012. Small and Phillips formed Vulvagun.
