Troldhaugen is a Sydney band playing a unique combination of Scandinavian folk music, extreme metal and progressive influences. A full-length album was planned for 2010 but the band has since announced that the recording will instead be a seven-track EP. Their debut EP was released on October 29, 2010 to coincide with the bands second live performance.

After occasional forays into the live realm during the next couple of years, ''Ramshackle'' appeared mid-2012 and early the following year Troldhaugen supported '''Alestorm''' and '''Moonsorrow'''. In early 2014 they released a version of '''ABBA's''' "Gimme, Gimme, Gimme" as a video single and supported '''Gloryhammer'''.
