Band information
Encabulos was a Geelong death metal band that formed in 1995 with Rob Benzies on vocals, though he was replaced by Kelly in 1997 in time for their first demo. Embracing a particularly violent style in the mould of Suffocation and Deeds of Flesh, Encabulos came to the attention of US grind label Razorback -- who included them on a compilation album -- and Sydney label Venomous, thanks to their thunderous second demo.
A debut EP was released that was followed by a small scale tour with Psychrist and Deluge in early 2000 and a Metal for the Brain appearance but after that little was heard from this band until late 2003 when Encabulos was resurrected under the new name Crucifire.
