Claim the Throne is a Perth band that plays classic Scandinavian-style Viking metal, completing their image by dressing the part and wielding swords on stage. The band released their album ''Only the Brave Return'' during 2008, a concept piece based on a book also written by the band members. The band played at [[Against the Grain (festival)|Against the Grain]] in 2009 shortly after the release of their folk-metal oriented EP, "Ale Tales". Early in 2010, Oscarius of [[Dyscord]] joined the band ahead of a national tour with '''Alestorm'''.
