Anarion is a Melbourne power metal band that formed in early 1999 as a three-piece of Mecchi, D'Alfonso and Vrljic with ex-[[The Ember Tide]] drummer Burnham joining some months later. At the time Mecchi was also lead singer but in January 2000 [[Pegazus]] vocalist Cecati joined the fold and was consequently sacked from his other band. After original members Vrljic and D'Alfonso departed, Anarion continued without a bass player for almost a year until Binding joined in 2001.
