Band Information

Myrddraal was a howling, apocalyptic black metal band from Canberra. Taking its name from a creature from the Wheel of Time series, Myrddraal formed in early 1999 originally as a five piece unit but the association failed, resulting in a two piece line-up featuring Pitt and Surt sharing guitar, bass and vocal duties for some time, responsible for the initial "Black Construction" demo.

Pitt, Surt, Nancarrow and Turk produced Blood on the Mountain and played at Metal for the Brain but after this Myrddraal was mostly inactive as a live act. In 2004 Myrddraal issued their second album with The Serpent Inquisitor from StarGazer on drums.

Myrddraal is no more; Pitt was briefly with Kill for Satan before starting another project called Ghastly which has now also ended. Turk has become a professional wrestler.
