Band Information
M.S.I. is a brutal grind band from Hobart with a typically gore-obsessed repetoire. Menzies and Denehy left the band after the recording of the first album, which was preceded by a pair of long-form demos. M.S.I. is apparently the intialised form of the name "Mutilated Spastic Iguanas" and to avoid a lawsuit from the American rock band MSI the group is required to include the dots between each letter when promoting themselves.
Chalk from Psycroptic and Warren then joined M.S.I. and the band laid down tracks for Dream the Serenade which was eventually released in 2005 and packaged with a live DVD. When Warren departed for Excarnated, Peppiatt of Bolverk and Born Headless joined M.S.I. on bass. He is now currently the vocalist with Psycroptic, having replaced Chalk in that band in February 2005.
M.S.I. supported Nevermore and appeared at Metal for the Brain in late 2006.
