Band information

Melbourne black metal unit which began life as a Slayer cover band. At this time Maakryth was also a guitarist and the band had no specialist singer, although this soon changed as Anarazel's style evolved. The band's demo was issued soon after the departure of bassist Zoltan. In early 1999, Anarazel released an EP titled "Rise of the Tempest" with Maakryth taking on bass duties as well as the vocals. The arrival of Valak, Assasyn (bass) and Malleus (guitar) into the line-up allowed for live playing. They went on to record a full-length album entitled Undivine that was intended for release in 2001 but the recording was scrapped when Anarazel announced their dissatisfaction with it.

Ex-Very, Very Dead and Gory and Portrayal member Asheron joined the band after it shed Assasyn and Malleus. The Undivine album was re-recorded in 2005 and late the following year Anarazel was added to the line-up of the final Metal for the Brain.
