Band information

Excruciate was a band from Queensland's Sunshine Coast area that combines ultra brutal death with hyper-speed black metal. The band came to the attention of Venomous Records in early 2001 and an EP was recorded but not released due to the band being unhappy with the final result. Late in the year Excruciate started work on a full-length album release but during the recording process bass player Dunn left to join Devolved. Excruciate continued gigging nonetheless, featuring at the 2002 Bloodlust Festival without a bassist.

In mid-2003 the band's long awaited first CD appeared. Oudemann left in 2004. The band had split after this, but reformed in 2005. Bound and Gagged was released in 2007 and shortly afterwards Tom Cunt was added to the line-up. Nads and Moore are also members of Limb From Limb.
