Band information
Captain Cleanoff is grind band formed in the South Australian town of Mt Gambier in 1996 with Christian Dicer on drums before moving to Adelaide sometime afterward. Heath Twigden replaced Dicer in 1997. When early bassist Michael Slottagraf left the band, Johnson played bass until Anand White joined the fold. Murray Ruse replaced Twigden in 2001. The group has members who now live in three different states so live work is limited, however they have played at Metal for the Brain twice.
The band supported Napalm Death in 2007 and the album was re-released that September with bonus live tracks and the songs from both splits included. A new album was released in March 2008 and after a support slot with Pig Destroyer the band launched a national tour in November. In mid-2009 Captain Cleanoff played a short run of shows in northern England before returning to feature at Against the Grain. They then appeared at the Maryland Deathfest in May 2010. In 2011, Ruse joined the Hard Ons and PC from Blood Duster replaced bassist Anand White. During 2012 the band played at several Bastardfest shows.
